Part of the fun of Harvest Moon, for me, is to be able to just decide to do whatever I want, when I want. It makes things feel more realistic, but it also makes things quite harder. Or you can’t cook a certain recipe, even if you have all the ingredients, unless you’ve already cooked a substantial amount of lower level recipes. For example, you can’t get certain seeds or animals until you have enough crop or animal points. You have to earn the farm degree for it first. You can’t just do, mine, fish and grow whatever, you want in Harvest Moon: Sunshine Islands. I’ve been playing since the first SNES entry, and wasn’t pleased with it, but there could be people who’d like the new concept. well, here's where you're wrong, my friend! On Winter 14th, if you're playing as Mark, the bachelorettes will be giving you some gifts, if you have a purple heart or more, of course! To receive the gifts, walk in and out of your house at the correct times listed below. One of the new additions is the farm degree, something that some Harvest Moon fans may like. "But why do the girls only get chocolates and sweets? Why don't the guys get the favor back?" Oh. only if Spring 14th is a Monday/ Tuesday Vaughn will give you a gift, and Shea will only give a gift if you gave him a gift during the Winter Harmony Festival.) If you're playing as Chelsea, at different times (if the bachelors have a purple heart or more) they will give you a chocolate! If your hearts with them are higher than you have an even better chance of you getting a dish made with chocolate from them! If you say "yes" to the gifts, you get a lot of fp for the bachelor (1000+ to be exact)!! To receive the gifts, walk in and out of your house at the correct times listed below. If you're playing as Mark, give every bachelorette (and other women on the islands) a chocolate to get a whooping 800+ fp! Remember to talk to them for 5 days in a row so you can give out the gifts! You see, on Spring 14th, the men of the islands give out chocolates.

and a pretty nice way to get every one of your marriage candidates hearts up! Harmony Day is pretty much when you give anyone and everyone of the opposite gender a chocolate. The Harmony Day Festival is a festival in Harvest Moon DS: Sunshine Islands.
